These additional Host terms for Klarna German installment option payment methods (“Klarna Installment Option Terms”) apply in addition to the Payments Terms of Service (“Payment Terms”). All capitalized terms not defined have the meaning given to them in the Airbnb Terms of Service and Payments Terms. Nothing in these Klarna Installment Option Terms shall be construed to amend or contradict the Payments Terms unless explicitly stated. If there is a conflict between the Klarna Installment Option Terms and the Payments Terms, the Klarna Installment Option Terms control to the extent of the conflict.
If you are a Host, these Klarna Installment Option Terms apply to you. Guests in Germany may be offered the option to pay for their Accommodation Reservation in installments, whether in monthly installments or other payment deferral options. In each case, these financing options will be provided by Klarna Bank AB, an EU-wide operating bank licensed in Sweden (“Klarna”), not Airbnb.
Where a Guest in Germany books and pays for an Accommodation Reservation offered by you on the Airbnb Platform using a Klarna installment option payment method, you authorize Airbnb Ireland UC to sell and assign your payment claim against the Guest to Klarna and in doing so to amend the payment claim to defer payments by the Guest, by way of an installment agreement, in each case, on your behalf. Additionally, you authorize Klarna to carry out a creditworthiness check against the Guest.
Your Payout for the Accommodation Reservation will not be impacted if a Guest in Germany selects a Klarna installment option payment method. You will therefore receive funds due to you for an Accommodation Reservation after the Guest’s scheduled check-in time as provided in the Payments Terms.
You hereby accept the reassignment of the sold payment claim from Klarna via Airbnb to you in case of a cancellation of the Accommodation Reservation in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy and agree to repay any Payout received in respect of the Accommodation Reservation plus any applicable cancellation or other fees to Airbnb Payments, for forwarding to Klarna and Airbnb, as appropriate.
