The castle is dated from 1200 and has had several different ownerships. The museum is showing the history of his past inhabitants. The exhibition gives you a good idea of how the Bernese upper class life style must have been sometimes inbetweeek the 16th and the 19th century. There is a really nice park attached to it. It is perfect for walking and lake watching. There are a few really big and old trees and the park is well maintained. (The castle closes for the winter season, closed on mondays as well)
