The Visitor Center at Monocacy Battlefields is excellent! Their museum is very well done and provides a great afternoon out. There are also lovely strolling paths on the property.

This National Park Battlefield offers a look at the history of the Civil War battle that "saved Washington". It also offers plenty of hiking trails and river views. Classic Maryland farmland scenery.
