El Porto beach is a local beach where you can walk along the strand all the way down to Manhattan and hermosa beach. Truly, one of my favorite things to do after work.

El Porto – 15 minutes (7 miles) This is the go-to beach for our family. El Porto Beach is located in northern Manhattan Beach. The waves in this area are often times larger than nearby beaches so it’s well-known to the local surfers. There is a parking lot with metered parking.

If you want to surf and you’re a beginner, head to El Porto in Manhattan Beach, where they rent boards in a kiosk right there.
