The Central Park of Reykjavik. Not as tall trees though.

It is a nice park, close by, with a small zoo, family park, some ponds, Icelandic plants and a café, it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk there with children and you can stop by Ásmundarsafn on the way, a quiet place with a big statues the children can climb in.
