Another already-established city landmark is this bright yellow, tent-like structure that has been the musical heart of Berlin for more than 50 years. Architect Hans Scharoun was able to bring his vision to life here, developing the main concert platform where one person is opposite another, arranged in circles in sweeping, suspended arcs around soaring crystal pyramids.
