Forestiere underground gardens is a historical landmark of Fresno, there are underground rooms, courtyards and passage ways. Reservations are recommended and tours take 1 hour long. See www.undergroundgardens.com

Forestiere Underground Gardens is a subterranean journey to the Mediterranean. During the early 1900’s, over a 40 year period, Baldassare Forestiere sculpted a fantastic underground retreat for himself stretching out over 10 acres but deep underground. There is an abundance of stonework and building techniques patterned after the ancient catacombs as well as a multilevel aquarium and so much more at this state registered landmark. (PlayFresno.org)
