Jobell is just outside of the main part of town, but totally worth the trip. Yummy food and a lovely deck are the highlights.

This is a Natural blue Hole and is too lovely to miss while visiting! Jacob's Well is one of the most amazing swimming holes around. It's literally the entrance to an underwater cave from which a powerful spring brings aquifer water to the surface to create Cypress Creek. You must reserve a swim time in advance.
The hike is fun, the nature stone formation pool and waterfall is stunning. You have to reserve well in advance! Not to be missed when in the Hill Country!

Old Baldy is one of the highest hills in the Wimberley valley. Take the steep trail of 218 steps to the top to get a spectacular view of the surrounding area. Recently the city and residents came together to buy the hill and make it a public park. Free and walking distance from the Nest!

Entertainment & Activities
The Only Outdoor 1st run Movie Theater left in the country. Great for the entire family! We can't rave about The Corral Theatre enough! It's one of our favorite places to go catch a summer movie under the stars. Bring a camp chair or grab one of their vintage 50's chairs. Don't forget to bring $1 for popcorn! :)

This is a must. It takes about 3 hours and is Way Too much Fun!!!! Wheeee.... with 10 courses, this zip line adventure takes about two hours and is SO MUCH FUN!!

From vineyards, to wine tasting to chef prepared meals on site, they even host a wine festival and movie in the summer among the vineyards! Just a short drive over to Driftwood and totally worth the extra effort! Elegant Italian restaurant on the gorgeous grounds of the Mandola Vineyard. It's perfect for a romantic or special occasion dinner. There's also a big playscape on the grounds, so bring the kids and order food/wine/beer 'to go' and eat on the picnic tables by the playscape.

This is located on top of one of the Three Sisters Mountains right next to our Loft! The have a theater in the Round, Shakespeare under the stars and so much more. This is also where we have our Butterfly festival in April and the Trail of Lights in December.
