Might be the best Italian in all of Texas. No joke. Also the ‘nicest’ restaurant in Port A. Great wine selection. Reservations required or call for pick up. Can also sometimes walk in for a spot at the bar.

Linda and Maurice Halioua opened The Venetian Hot Plate in Port Aransas, Texas in 1995 after moving to the United States from the area of Venice, Italy. The Venetian Hot Plate offers quality cuisine and a quaint, yet energetic atmosphere, bringing a touch of Italy to this casual island in South Texas.

A good place to get dressed up and have authentic Italian and seafood cuisine. Opens at 5 PM. Reservations are necessary on most nights!
