A beautiful & cosmopolitan city on the shores of Lake Geneva, park at Chateau Chillon, on the outskirts, & take a leisurely walk along the shoreline for lunch in the city centre. Spend some time shopping, before returning by tram & taking a tour of the chateau. In the summer there's the world famous Jazz Festival, & pre-Christmas take the family on the Santa Train thru the snow to his grotto up the mountain. During both periods there are lakeside markets to peruse.

Montreux is a traditional resort town on Lake Geneva. Nestled between steep hills and the lakeside, it's known for its mild microclimate and the Montreux Jazz Festival, held in July. The town's promenade is lined with flowers, sculptures, Mediterranean trees and grand Belle Époque buildings.
