The York was one of the first craft beer bars to open in Highland Park. And it’s stayed true to what it’s always been about—good food and good beer at a reasonable price. They have a pretty extensive selection, including some Belgians that might be harder to find. Get here before 10. Early on, it’s more of a laid back gastro-pub scene. After that, it turns into your typical crowded bar.

AMAZING PUB, Super Great Food, THE BEST HAMBURGERS, lot of vegan items, Incredible list of Beer Available. This is an old fashioned" pubby" place with upscale bar and booth available

Okay, this is essentially a bar, but they have one of the best menus you will ever see at a bar. Some standards like steak frites (with chimichurri) and fish and chips but most of the menu is more daring- Shrimp Bruschetta with Arugula, Grilled Vegetable salad , Cuban sandwich and Falafel tacos .
