Grab lunch or a cocktail in old-Hollywood style at the at the Sportsmen's - an LA landmark since the silent-film era, it was once a popular gathering place for stars like Clark Gable and Betty Davis.

It's not the BEST food in the world, but it IS a must-do--just for the people-watching...you hear older actors talking about "the day" and the omelets are very good. (Grill the bran muffin halves!)

The owners recently renovated this OLD SCHOOL hotel and boy was it worth the wait. Great bar, great entertainment (in the summer they have synchronized swimming shows).

The breakfast restaurant in the hotel, not the River Walk restaurant which is for dinner, and also a club. Not too crowded. The breakfast restaurant is friendly, local, with a touch of entertainment panache.
