Right by Laugarvatn (7 minutes by car) is a very special place that is different from everything you have experienced on your trip around the Golden Circle; The Cave People. Clayton Smith writes: " From the guidebook this seemed like just a quirky roadside stop - after two weeks in Iceland we were amazed that The Cave People ended up being a true highlight of our trip! We had an EXCELLENT tour and learned a ton about local history and culture from our little bit of time there. While we were there a few people stopped just to look around, but taking the tour made a huge difference for us and we absolutely loved it! Hope your experience there is as enriching as ours was.
