The city of Artists. This is our favorite hilltop city. It was infected with the plague and completely vacant for many decades until the Croatian Government offered grants for local artists to live in the city and open galleries. Today it is full of art galleries where you can find handmade local gems. Walk around the incredible stone buildings covered with lush vines and flowers.
