These are our favorite restaurants in Venice and around.
BREAKFAST
The French Market Cafe, just three blocks north on Abbot Kinney. They make good coffee and great quiche. They also have pastries and wonderful home-cooked breakfast options.
Gjusta at 320 Sunset Ave. has long wait lines but amazing (also French) food.
Cafe Buna, just one block east on Washington Blvd., is a great option for a classic diner breakfast.
LUNCH
Kreation, about six blocks north on Abbot Kinney, serves nice, organic, Mediterranean-themed food in a nice outdoor patio atmosphere.
Figtree Cafe, on the boardwalk a little further north, has yummy dishes served on the patio, where you can watch all the fun Venice has to offer.
DINNER
Gjelina is on everybody's top list, but most of the time you'll need a reservation. It's on hen main Abbot Kinney strip.
Wabi Sabi, also on Abbot Kinney, is a classic sushi place, highly rated.
Sidewalk Cafe is on the beach boardwalk, their food is good and you get to people-watch, which is so much fun in Venice.
