Granola coffee lounge offers freshly-brewed coffee, great creamy ice-cream, Summerbird chocolates and fruity milk-shakes from the good old days. Granola is also serving breakfast, brunch and dinner. The place reeks with nostalgia. There is a priceless old coffee mill in the middle of the room, colourful enamel signs, music from the 50s and 60s, and an old counter from the long gone days of colonial trade. Lots of people are hanging out at Granola - but that is just some of the charm being at Værnedamsvej.

This is Copenhagen's smallest coffee shop. Here are just five seats, if you count the seats the window in. The delicious coffee is from The Coffee Collective and the tiny coffee shop also has a selection of kitsch 80's sweets as Hubba Bubba, Spunk and Super Flyers. Central Hotel & Café is the world's smallest hotel where there is only one room.

At Fiskebaren it is all about fish and sea food, about fresh, healthy, and delicious food and about god wines. The atmosphere is informal and the interior is quite rough. Fiskebaren has a Bib Gourmand in Guide Michelin Nordic Cities 2015. There are still traces of the old meat halls and you detect a rather deliberate use of second hand décor. You can choose to eat at the bar, relax in the sofas, or dine at tables. Weather permitting, you can eat outside in the loveliest evening sun. You can enjoy just a few nibbles and a glass of wine, eat a main course, or get the full treatment - the choice is yours. Apart from an interesting wine list, the bar also offers a good drinks' menu.

Chefs Fabbio Mazzon and Morten Kaltoft have joined forces to create this delightful Italian eatery, FAMO, in Copenhagen. The place is light and airy, the walls are decorated with colourful oil paintings, and in the middle of the room thrones a Ferrari of a meat slicing machine, geared to cutting paper-thin slices of the imported prosciuttos. The food is delicious and there is no need to hyperventilate about too many choices on the menu, there is only one.

Neighbourhood in Copenhagen's hip Vesterbro district is an all organic gourmet pizza and cocktail bar and local hang-out, where vinyl tunes fill the air, and community table seating makes it impossible not to meet your neighbours. The pizzas at Neighbourhood cost DKK 135 and are modern interpretations of the classic Italian pizza. They are lighter, crispier, greener, organic and even more beautiful. A completely different pizza experience than you are probably used to. The amount of pizza dough is less than half of a traditional pizza and most toppings are non-cooked fresh salads, fresh, marinated or pickled vegetables, fresh cheeses, fresh pestos, herbs and various fresh, cured, smoked or light roasted sea food or meats.

Local Vesterbro restaurant Bodil is bang for the buck in a cozy setting. The eatery Bodil is named after its location in a typical residential building on the corner of Bodilsgade and Sønder Boulevard, which stretches through Copenhagen’s Vesterbro. Expect a down-to-earth atmosphere but without any slack. Instead, there is quality dishes on the menu, which has an international focus and is put together by Head Chef, Mads Rye Magnussen, former Restaurant Geranium and El Bulli. The open kitchen area breaks down barriers and gives guests an opportunity to see the concentration and meticulousness put into every plate by the kitchen staff. The menu prices are in the low end meaning plenty of value for your money, and with a nice selection of both classic wines and new, nature wines, Bodil is definitely worth of visit – both to locals as well as people visiting the area.

Travel through time and experience Denmark's animal life from the past to the present at Zoological Museum in Copenhagen. Take a walk among mammoths, woolly-haired rhinos, steppe bison, and giant deer once native to Denmark. At the room, Magasinet, you can touch the stuffed animals and the skeletons. The exhibition continues where Darwin had to end his quest and you will be brought up-to-date with the discoveries made by science since Darwin's time, and which time and time again have proven his theory right. At Langelinje Pier you will find one of Copenhagen's most famous tourist attractions: The sculpture of The Little Mermaid. At August 2013 she turned 100 years old. Unveiled on 23 August 1913, The Little Mermaid was a gift from Danish brewer Carl Jacobsen to the City of Copenhagen. The sculpture is made of bronze and granite and was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale about a mermaid who gives up everything to be united with a young, handsome prince on land. Every morning and evening she swims to the surface from the bottom of the sea and, perched on her rock in the water, she stares longingly towards the shore hoping to catch a glimpse of her beloved prince.

Freetown Christiania is a green and car-free neighbourhood in Copenhagen, best known for its autonomous inhabitants’ different way of life. It was established in 1971 by a group of hippies who occupied some abandoned military barracks on the site and developed their own set of society rules, completely independent of the Danish government. Christiania is a mix of homemade houses, workshops, art galleries, music venues, cheap and organic eateries, and beautiful nature. It is still a society within a society, for an example you cannot buy a house in Christiania. You have to apply for it, and if successful, it is given to you. The area is open to the public – even with guided tours, run by the local Christianites.

The 17th century tower and observatory Rundetaarn, or the round tower, is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe. When Christian IV built the tower, Denmark was quite famous for its astronomical achievements thanks to the astronomer Tycho Brahe. When he died in 1601, the King wished to continue Brahe's research, and thus the round tower came into being. It has been a while since the scientists left, but the observatory is still used by amateur astronomers and the many visitors. The observatory is encircled by an outdoor platform from which you have a magnificent view of the old part of Copenhagen. To get there you need to walk up the spiral walk, which is 268,5 meters long at the outer wall and only 85,5 meters long close to the core of the building. This means that you walk around 209 meters to get to top even though the tower is only 36 meters tall.

Denmark's National Museum in Copenhagen has exhibitions from the Stone Age, the Viking Age, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Modern Danish History. The National Museum is located in The Prince’s Palace, which was built by Nicolai Eigtved between 1743 and 1744 for Danish Crown Prince Frederik V and Crown Princess Louise. It is no longer used by the royal family, but the Great Hall still appears elegant enough to fit princes and princesses. The Gallery consists of a wide corridor that linked rooms and sleeping quarters, and featured plenty of space for exquisite handicrafts. The stucco in the ceiling, the panels and the oak parquet floor are all thought to be original. The furniture and stove are from the early 18th century.
