Susanna’s is a hidden gem that really only the locals know about. They have a very American-style menu but on the healthier side. Food is excellent, they have a good wine selection, also have vegetarian options, and it’s a very romantic restaurant just off the main strip. The steak salad is one of our favorite meals in Rosarito. Prices are probably the most expensive in Rosarito. They also accept credit card.

This is one of the most romantic spots in Rosarito according to the locals. For us is the Number 1, and guess what,is just at the entrance of our Hotel, that's amazing! You can order and have the food deliver right in your door.

This is handsdown the most popular taco place in Rosarito. On the weekends you can expect to wait up to an hour in line, but if you’re not in a big hurry then these tacos are worth the wait. One taco is like a meal with meat, beans, cheese, salsa, and guacamole crammed into a flour tortilla. Definitely worth eating at.

This is one of our favorite bars in Rosarito because it’s a locals nightclub and gives you a real feel for how the Mexicans like to party. If you are feeling brave and want to experience life as a local then you must make a stop here. It’s located about 1.5 miles north of downtown Rosarito on the west side of the street. Most drivers know where it is, but if not just tell them to go near the “Elektra” or you can pull it up on Google Maps. Most of the time they have a Mexican band playing and then in between they have normal dance music. It’s definitely an experience and is really fun to immerse yourself in the local culture. We recommend getting a table .

Is also on our list under “Puerto Nuevo”, this is the best restaurant for lobster dinner in Puerto Nuevo and has the best view. It’s very busy on the weekends so expect to wait, but they also offer the best margarita so waiting at the bar might not be such a bad thing after all

OMG Burger opened up recently when the Festival Plaza opened up their new dining area just south of the hotel. The burgers and fries are very good, prices are cheap. The owner is named Carli and she is from Venezuela. All the girls there work extremely hard. Also, they are the only ones in that little street that accept Credit Card so go give them a try.

You wouldn’t think that Rosarito has that many quality Italian restaurant, but they do. Pasta y Basta is a little place on Blvd Popotla that is considered to be the best Italian restaurant in town. Great service, great food and a cozy atmosphere make this one of the top restaurants in all of Rosarito.

Drinks & Nightlife

This is a newer outdoor bar that caters mainly to Americans and is located right next to the Festival Plaza hotel on the corner. The service is good, it’s on the main strip in Rosarito so the people watching is good, prices are reasonable, and the food is very good. This is not a spot for dancing and so there is a good mix of young, old, and in the middle people. Fun spot to grab a drink, make some friends, and enjoy Rosarito. They also accept credit cards.

Sightseeing

Of all the things to do in Rosarito/Ensenada, a trip to the Valle de Guadalupe is hands-down my favorite. Nestled just 45 minutes from the house is Mexico’s wine country that has been producing wines for over a century, but just in the past 10 years has exploded with some of the best wines in the world. We HIGHLY recommend a trip to the Valle if you can make time for it. The Valle is similar to Napa Valley and Sonoma County in that cool air from the ocean travels through the valley and produces a climate that is synonymous with great wine-making. There are many newer wineries that bring a Mexican flair to their wine making and creating some delicious blends that you can only find south
