The Iconic Gold Ball Sunsphere is located where the World's Fair came to Knoxville, TN in 1982. You can go up to the observatory and view the city from above! Also the park grounds is great for walking, talking, taking a blanket and laying in the grassy area, there is giant splash pad fountains in the summer and a lot of festivals and concerts are held here as well.
