There are 4 different areas of Melrose Ave. each are not entirely walking distance from each other. 1st Grungy Melrose Ave. with vintage stores, burning man clothing spots, and streetwear. (Melrose Ave. between Fairfax Ave. and La Brea Ave.) 2nd Melrose Pl. is a small offshoot beautifully tree lined street where you can find some high end fashion like Balmain, Isabel Marant, The Row, Chloe, Bottega Veneta, Marni etc. There is also a few great restaurants and cafes like the original Alfred Coffee and new Melrose Pl. restaurant. (Sundays all the stores are closed due to the farmers market taking over the whole street). 3rd Pacific Design Center Melrose you will find mid-range fashion brands like Rag & Bone, Alice & Olivia, The Real Real, Vince, RtA, as well as some other retail like Restoration Hardware, Glossier, The Great, mixed in with a few cafes and restaurants like Urth Cafe, Zinque, and EP & LP. (Melrose Ave. between La Cienega Blvd. and San Vicente Blvd.) 4th Trendy Cool Melrose is where you will find some of the cooler LA spots like Maxfields, James Press, Palace, Tape, John Elliott, Acne Studios, as well as some awesome restaurants like Gracias Madre, Verve coffee shop, Issima, and the iconic Craig's. (Melrose Ave. between Robertson Blvd. and Doheny Dr.)
