Tasty, great quality, overpriced. Smallish Whole Foods, kind of tucked away. A bit farther away, though not far, is the much larger one on the SE corner of Fairfax and 3rd, across from the Grove.

Full service supermarket, open 24/7. Parking in the lot is a hassle, I'd rather feed the meter. Overpriced. Useful.

Yummy, inexpensive, authentic. I recommend the one on Cardiff, not Culver, unless you want gelato. I also recommend Ugo wine bar . Good happy hour and they have those wine dispensing thingies.

Tasty, healthy, crazy cheap for the quality. Only con is the inevitable (but totally understandable) line out the door. You can have wine but it's more of a lunch place.

I don't. Lots of people do though. Too americanized for my taste. I go to Natalee on Robertson and Olympic. Worth the drive, though they deliver.

Excellent italian restaurant. Way small. A short walk. BYOB. There's a kosher restaurant around the corner, I haven't tried it but it's always busy and it looks good.

Another big, nice open air shopping center not far from here. Lots of restaurants and a movie theater. Larger and generally more high end than the Grove. Also not far.

Fabulous olympic sized public pool. Please don't insult this magnificent pool unless you're going to do laps. If you just want to sun yourself or horse around, go elsewhere. I'm not kidding.

I could also say entertainment, restaurants, sight seeing. Nice, surprisingly charming open air mall with adjacent historic farmers market. Fantastic view from top of the parking structure.

There is an internet cafe right next door and they sort of work together, so it's less unpleasant than the typical laundomat experience.

In the same shopping center, there is a laundromat. The other one in the guidebook is pleasanter but it's large so there are always plenty of machines.

Great museum. They also have fun events like Friday Night Jazz (free). Lots of cute shops, restaurants, galleries in this general area. 15 minutes by bike, slightly less by car.
