absolutely my favorite locals only, hole in the wall. Vernons has food during the day, and music outside at nights. vernons is where the waiters and bartenders flock to after they get out of work. they do pop up food on weekends, and have a steak night via a bbq pit if you are there the right night.

My go to place for chicken fried steaks. They have a variety of food for everyone. Sundays they have a thanksgiving special that includes roast turkey and dressing, cranberry sauce, salad, soup, veggies, potato, and rolls!

there are a bunch of taquerias in corpus, but the original and still my favorite spot for breakfast tacos and tortas is Taqueria Jalisco. they make amazing homemade flour tortillas, try one with a bean and cheese taco! They are simple, quick, and some like this one have a drive thru. others stay open till 3am. I go here at least once every time I visit.

We also have a Selena Museum in Corpus and many people still leave flowers where she rest, but over 30k people visit her memorial along the water every year. Most days there will be crowd around the statue and a speaker playing her English and Spanish hits.

The “park” for the neighborhood. Has a nice covered basketball court and newer play sets. Recently installed splash pads that are on in warm weather. There are wooden benches with mural surrounding the playground. Next door is baseball field that public can normally access if not being used.
