Dolmabahce Palace built in 19 th century is one of the most glamorous palaces in the world. It was the administrative center of the late Ottoman Empire with the last of Ottoman Sultans was residing there.Â
After the foundation of the Turkish Republic in Ankara, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk transferred all government functions to the youthful capital but on his visits to Istanbul Ataturk occupied only a small room at Dolmabahce Palace as his own. He stayed, welcomed his foreign guests and made a practical center for national, historical and language congress and for international conferences.

Hanging from the top of the coffer green, there is a banner made of ground silk fabric with a Giraffe picture on it. The tomb is located in the same square with the Barbaros Monument.

The ceilings and the interior partitions were made of wood, the walls were covered by marble. The columns were superior examples of stonemasonry. The palace was lavishly decorated with rare carpets, gilded pieces and furniture inlaid with mother-of-pearl.
Like other palaces on the shores of the Bosphorus, the Çıragan had been the venue of various important meetings. Its facades were decorated with colored marbles, it had monumental gates, and it was connected to the Yildiz Palace on the slopes behind it with a bridge.

Bebek is very nice and luxurious. Walk near the sea. I loved Arnavutkoy district which is very close to Bebek. There were so many hipster restaurants and bars. The neighbourhood has a spirit, the buildings are very cute, old and unique. A must place to see in Istanbul.

No:34 Cevdet Paşa Cd.Bebek is very nice and luxurious. Walk near the sea. I loved Arnavutkoy district which is very close to Bebek. There were so many hipster restaurants and bars. The neighbourhood has a spirit, the buildings are very cute, old and unique. A must place to see in Istanbul.
