Twentynine Palms 🌵
Twentynine Palms is a small city with a true desert vibe, eclectic atmosphere and growing food and entertainment scene! Make sure to spend some time walking through downtown to check out some of the local shops and restaurants. The city maintains an authentic “mom and pop” feel, and is a nice distance from its tourist-filled neighboring cities. Locals and tourists of the area enjoy that it’s typically less crowded, with shorter lines at restaurants and cafes. Still, it’s close enough to access those nearby cities for a meal, quick errand or even a day trip. It’s also within an hour drive to some really cool sites such as those in Amboy or Palm Springs. Additionally, the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park is located in 29 Palms. It is known to be way less crowded and to have much shorter lines so that you have a head start into the park!

What to See 🌵
Be sure to see Cholla Cactus Garden, Arch Rock, and Skull Rock!
Safety tip: Bring more than enough water. There is no access to food or water inside of the park, and there is no cellphone reception.
