The second largest art gallery in Spain with works from the 15th to the 19th centuries, where the rooms dedicated to Sorolla stand out, as well as the one dedicated to Francisco de Goya. The rooms of Gothic work are impressive and those of the painters and sculptors Pinazo and Benlliure are very representative of the Valencian school. The museum also stands out for the artistic pictorial collection of this style in Spain. Not to be missed is the Patio del Embajador Vich and the unpublished work of Velázquez. The historic building that houses the museum was originally the Colegio Seminario San Pío V, founded in 1683 by the Archbishop of Valencia Fray Juan Tomás de Rocabertí. Its traces are due to the architect Juan Bautista Pérez Castiel, master builder of the Cathedral. The construction was carried out between 1683 and 1744, although its church was partially demolished in 1925. The building has had different uses: Military Academy of Cadets, House of Charity, warehouse of army provisions, Military Hospital, until in 1946 it was chosen to be the headquarters of the Museum of Fine Arts. The artistic journey begins with the selection of the so-called Valencian Primitives, which range from the end of the 14th century to the beginning of the 16th, with such representative artists as Alcanyís, Nicolau, Jacomart and Reixach, among others. Also noteworthy is the Valencian school with Joanes, the Ribaltas, Espinosa, Vicente López, Sorolla, Pinazo and others. There are also works by Pintoricchio, Andrea del Sarto, Van Dyck, Murillo, Velázquez, El Greco and Goya. It also has a wide collection of drawings and engravings, as well as sculptures, archaeological pieces, architectural fragments and some examples of furniture art. The Fallas Museum of Valencia is the perfect option to get to know the Fallas festival at any time of the year, especially if it is not possible to visit the city during this festivity. Those who have lived the incredible experience of the Fallas, know that when the night of March 19 arrives, all the Fallas burn in the traditional cremà, leaving us their ashes and a lot of emotional experiences. All? No. Every year a couple of privileged ninots (each one of the figures that make up a fallero monument) evade the fire and in the museum you can see all those who have been saved from the flames since 1934. It is also possible to attend the surprising changes in the assembly techniques of the monumental faults; compare the graphic evolution of the posters announcing the festival and contemplate photographs of fallas that have obtained the first prize in festivals that are also a contest. The old port of the city is today the Marina de València, a public space of one million m2 open to innovation and nautical activities. Located next to the Paseo Marítimo de la Playa del Cabañal, La Marina de València has become an emerging socio-cultural focus of the city. Culture, training and entrepreneurship coexist with sports, tourism and gastronomy, on a seafront that is already consolidated as an innovation district. In the Valencian dock, historic buildings such as the sheds, the Clock building or the old dry dock coexist with the most avant-garde architectural proposals such as the iconic Veles e Vents, a cultural and gastronomic multi-space signed by the architects David Chipperfiled and Fermín Vázquez. In addition to exhibitions, dance, art and music, at Veles e Vents you can also enjoy very good cuisine, at the hands of the Mediterranean restaurant La Marítima, the Malabar beer bar and the gourmet culinary offering of La Sucursal. Nearby are many more restaurants, upscale hotels, and the Marina Beach Club.

The Paseo Marítimo de Valencia runs along the Arenas and Malvarrosa beaches, and the Paseo Neptuno is located behind the existing restaurant area next to the port, both areas covering 49,865m2 of vegetation surface. The rows of palm trees and the regularity of the cutout massifs give the promenade perspective, integrating it into its linearity. In the massifs and the alignments, the different colors offered by species such as hollyhock geraniums, lavandulas, gazanias, asteriscus maritimum,... alternate with the flower bushes that stand out in the center (oleanders, tamarix,...). This walk connects Valencia with the sea and is one of the most visited gardens, since both in summer to enjoy the beach and the rest of the year to walk by the sea the influx of public is constant. A bike path runs along it, facilitating the enjoyment of the garden or access to the beach. The promenade is dotted with numerous restaurants, which are located on both sides of the different squares and in the houses facing the Paseo de Neptuno next to the Port. BIG PARKS

It is one of the largest urban natural parks in Spain, a green space of more than nine passable kilometers that crosses the city with recreational and sports areas and romantic corners where you can get lost. From the Parque de Cabecera to the Ciutat de les Artes y les Ciències, the Turia Garden is an ideal route for runners, cyclists, families and nature lovers. Crowned by 18 bridges that are traces of centuries of history, the old river bed borders on both banks with some of the main museums and monuments of the city. This immense garden is built on the old bed of the Turía river, which was diverted to avoid the continuous flooding that the city suffered. After the great flood of October 14, 1957 that devastated the city, the riverbed of the Turia was diverted to the south of Valencia, leaving free an important strip of land that crosses the city from West to East, surrounding the historic center. Inaugurated in 1986, various urban planners and landscapers designed the different sections of the riverbed, reproducing the old fluvial landscape and creating a unique route populated by palm and orange trees, fountains and pines, aromatic plants and ponds, sports courts and rose bushes. The immense garden is also limited by the Cabecera Park and the Bioparc to the West, and the avant-garde City of Arts and Sciences on the opposite side, almost at the mouth.

It is the largest aquarium in Europe, with the capacity to house 45,000 living beings of 500 different species. In it, the main marine ecosystems of the planet are represented. Its avant-garde architecture, the distribution of the different aquariums and its scientific, recreational and educational vocation manage to bring the marine world closer to the entire population and raise awareness about the protection of its fauna and flora, also serving as a platform for scientific research. The Oceanogràfic is made up of different buildings, which house representations of the most important ecosystems of each of the planet's seas and oceans: Mediterranean: It shows part of the biological wealth of the Mediterranean Sea through the exhibition of nine aquariums with different formats depending on the habitat represented and with nearly 7,400 specimens of fish and invertebrates. Wetlands: A spectacular 26-meter-high sphere simulates two of the most unique wetland environments on the planet: the American mangrove swamp and the Mediterranean marsh. Temperate and Tropical: It invites you to take a journey from the temperate regions of the Pacific and the Atlantic to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and the Caribbean, through aquariums connected by a fantastic 70-meter-long underwater tunnel, the longest in Europe. Oceans: With a volume of 7 million cubic metres, it is the largest aquarium in the Oceanogràfic and one of the largest in the world. It represents a journey through the Atlantic Ocean from the Canary Islands to Bermuda, through a tunnel where species such as the bull shark, the gray shark and the sunfish, among others, can be seen. Antarctic: A colony of penguins is the protagonist of this recreation of a rocky cliff with laying and breeding areas. Arctic: A large igloo-like dome houses the Arctic area. In it, rocky cliffs and blocks of ice represent the habitat of walruses and belugas, one of the most unique marine mammals on the planet. Islands: Located outdoors, this installation takes as a reference the islands located along the South American coast, characterized by the presence of large colonies of sea lions from Patagonia. Red Sea-Underwater Auditorium: Large room finished off with a cover in the shape of a "pilgrim's shell". Inside is the auditorium, with capacity for 466 people and whose backdrop is a spectacular aquarium that represents the Red Sea. Underwater Restaurant: Located in the center of the complex, it is the most emblematic building of the Oceanogràfic due to the peculiarity of its roof. Designed by Félix Candela, it evokes a figure similar to a water lily. It has a large aquarium on the lower floor. Dolphinarium: It is one of the largest dolphinariums in the world, with 26 million cubic meters of water and a depth of 10.5 meters. With a total of five pools, this facility can house around thirty dolphins, being the most important in Europe. HISTORICAL CENTER

Built on an old Roman temple that was later a mosque, Valencia Cathedral is predominantly Gothic in style, although it retains many elements from different periods, from Romanesque to Baroque. Work on the current plant began in the 13th century. Latin cross, ambulatory and dome over the transept. In the 15th century, the Chapter House (today the Chapel of the Holy Chalice), the dome, the Miguelete and the door of the Apostles were built. Also noteworthy are the Puerta de los Hierros, in the Baroque style, and that of the Palau or Almoina, Romanesque. It also houses the SANTO CALIZ. The Cathedral has been dedicated since the time of Jaume I to the Assumption of Santa María and it mixes history and art. Its walls and doors also protect treasures as valuable as the Holy Chalice. The documentation and archaeological studies lead us to believe that the Grail of Valencia is the one used by Jesus at the Last Supper. Hence, Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI used this relic in the celebration of the Eucharist on their visits to Valencia. It is a cup of polished agate of oriental origin. Tradition has it that after the Last Supper, Saint Peter took it to Rome and the Popes who succeeded him kept it there until Saint Sixtus II. He sent the relic to Huesca and during the Muslim invasion the chalice was hidden in the Pyrenees and it was Alfonso the Magnanimous who brought the royal reliquary to the Valencia palace. Today it can be seen in the Chapel of the Holy Chalice. Also in the Cathedral is the Cathedral Museum, which exhibits up to 90 works of different styles, Gothic, Renaissance, Mannerist... Among them are the canvases by Maella and Goya or the panel paintings by Juan de Juanes. And for those who enjoy panoramic views, nothing better than the climb to Miguelete. To crown the bell tower you have to climb 207 steps, but the effort is worth it, as they are possibly the best aerial views of the city. If you are a gastronomy lover, you enjoy fresh products, their colour, their flavour, and you value richness, variety and quality in the kitchen, the Central Market of Valencia is a paradise that you cannot miss. It is a must see in this city, a gigantic pantry of modernist architecture, which contains all the fresh produce from the garden and all the flavor and smell of the Mediterranean inside. Do not hesitate, take a walk around the Central Market, your senses will thank you! The largest fresh produce market in Europe, in addition to standing out for its rich and varied food offer, is located in one of the most emblematic modernist buildings in the city. With an area of more than 8,000 square meters, it is full of decorative allusions to the products of the orchards and gardens of Valencia. Its structure, made up of iron columns, reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower, tile and stained glass, makes it an architectural attraction that should not be missed. But on the route you will not only enjoy the continent, the content overflows with joy, colors, aromas, flavors... a lot of life and a lot of Mediterranean, in short. It is a place where traditional shopping meets the increasingly numerous tourists who frequent this space. This agora of Valencian gastronomy has nearly 300 stalls in which fresh fruit and vegetables stand out, with oranges, tomatoes and beans as protagonists; the meats; the cheeses; fish and shellfish, where live eels stand out; the spices; nuts and a long etcetera. If your intention is not to buy, but you want to taste the quality of the product, you can make a stop at Central Bar, the traditional bar of the Central Market, which is now in the hands of chef Ricard Camarena, where they offer tapas, portions and sandwiches with the best that the stops offer every day. Both to go shopping and to enjoy a gastronomic morning, the Central Market is a magical place. Do not miss it! Casa Isabel Restaurant has its origins in one of those picnic areas that were set up on the sand of the Malvarrosa beach in Valencia in the summer season. We have always wanted to maintain that spirit and that is why at Restaurante Casa Isabel you can find the typical Valencian paellas and tapas just as they were made back then. In the Casa Isabel restaurant, the all i pebre continues to be the protagonist of the table. Whether as an appetizer or as a main dish, it is one of our best options. Something very ours that should never be overshadowed by the invasion and fusion of foods from other origins. At its point with cooked potato and its traditional spices. Casa Isabel's stews and sucs are "finger licking good" and the truth is that we love to see you do it. When you finish with all the fish and shellfish, don't stop "dipping bread" in that delicious sauce. Do not worry about the protocol, here that is allowed, more than allowed, I would say that it is mandatory. We have talked a lot about fish and seafood but at Casa Isabel restaurant we do not forget about carnivores, tigers and lionesses, you have the delicious entrecotes and grilled sirloins, suckling pig and baked lamb that they send us from Segovia. We also make a lamb stew that you should not miss. Casa Isabel Restaurant is located on the Malvarrosa beach in Valencia. A place to enjoy both in summer and winter, a typical Valencian paella with views of the Mediterranean Sea. Our popular seafood dishes are designed to amuse your palate. Enjoy!
