Sky Valley is 15 minutes east of Desert Hot Springs in a remote desert area. There is a cafe on property that is closed on wed/thurs. Nearest restaurant is about 8 minutes away and Desert Hot Springs has many restaurants and grocery stores about 15 minutes away. Palm Springs or Palm Desert offers the most variety, both are about 25 minutes away. Google the type of food you want and voila! We recommend Best Sushi in DSH.

Bring comfortable shoes, flip flops, hiking boots.
It can be very warm so bring your resort clothes and bathing suit! It can also get cooler at night so bring layers. Check the weather for the greater Palm Springs area before traveling. There is hiking right across the street into the southern side of Joshua Tree National Park. The official Park entrance is about 45 minutes away in the town of Joshua Tree.
A short drive away, Palm Springs or Palm Desert/La Quinta offers world class dining and nightlife.
