What is better than a Jelly Donut? How about a Jelly Donut with coffee!
We go to Jelly Donut every chance we can, because who doesn't want donuts?
If you need to warm up, Jelly Donut also has great Pho Noodles (hot soup noodles). Great for those cold winter mornings!

Although it a bit of drive from the Joshua Tree Cottage, it’s perfect for the meal when heading out of town or making the trip - it’ll be worth it!

This is my favorite spot for an open mountain view with wide open spaces, a kids playground, picnic area (great for groups), baseball fields, and the desert air!
This locals park is perfect for a morning or evening walk. Bringing the kids along? This park is great to let them run around, climb on the playgrounds, and even let the dog run around in the fenced-in dog park.

Joshua Tree National Park is one of the best places for walking trails, advance and intermediate trails, hiking, biking, rock climbing, or just out for a picnic.
With so many activities at Joshua Tree National Park, it’ll be easy to spend literally the whole day and night.
Don’t forget that Joshua Tree is the best place for star gazing at night!

Twentynine Palms is a great spot if you're visiting Joshua Tree National Park, friends or family from the military base or just a weekend getaway.
It is just a short drive to Joshua Tree (about 10 minutes) and just about 20 minutes to Yucca Valley which has a Super Walmart, Home Depot, and many 'big box' stores.
The local restaurants offer a great variety from casual dining to breakfast to Mexican to Japanese to pizza!
Although most restaurants do get busy during peak times, we love to order food to-go and eat outside or at a local park.
Twentynine Palms is a bit quieter than Joshua Tree, giving a nice calm and soothing feeling when settling in.
