Great local eatery with healthy options including plant-based and gluten free menus. Breakfast and Lunch. Organic smoothies, full coffee bar, cold pressed juices, French crêpes, Buddha bowls, grilled burritos, paninis, wraps, salads and more! Wine, beer and cocktails too… We own this restaurant but it is the kind of eatery we look for when we travel, colorful, fun and somewhat healthy.

Best view around. Great sushi, surprisingly not expensive. The view at lunchtime or sunset is amazing, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Food is good, great wine selection. Nice spot for an upscale dinner

Farlows is a very nice restaurant located along a creek. Interesting menu with a mix of Virgin Islands and Southern flavors. Nice setting with a large outdoor area.

Beach
This is my favorite beach/State Park. You can walk all the way to the Southern tip and see dolphins. During the Spring sea turtles come and lay eggs and baby turtles can be spotted after the Summer when the eggs hatch. Also a bird sanctuary during the Summer months.

Voted #1 Beach USA, this beach has white sand and is a great place to visit in Sarasota. Great to walk, swim and enjoy the drum circle on Sundays at sunset. Siesta Key Village has many fun eateries with live music.

Beautiful little island accessible by car. Great little village with wonderful eateries, beautiful beaches, 2 light houses, a long bike path… Definitely worth a day trip.

The village of Boca Grande is charming and offers several fun restaurants, a bakery, ice cream shops, bike and golf cart rentals, etc… The Historic Lighthouse on the South end has a small Museum and a great view on Cato Costa Island across the water.

Shopping and eating
Our little historic street has several nice boutiques, art and gift shops, coffee shops and eateries. A lot of events take place on the Dearborn Street Plaza throughout the year.
- Farmers Market every Thursday from October to May (9am tom1pm)
- Antique Car Show every First Saturday starting at 2pm
- Open Mic at Culture Coffee every Friday night.
- Free Live Music every Wednesday at 5pm in the beautiful backyard of the Old Florida (bring a chair and enjoy!)
- Artist Colony Craft Show 1st and 3rd Wednesday on the Plaza
- Discover Dearborn every 4th Tuesday of the month. Music, shopping, dining…
