Favorite things to do
Hiking, shopping, gardens
Runyon Canyon hike is fun way to get exercise and see amazing views from downtown to the ocean. Bring water bottle and allow at least 1 hour. If you drive park at the bottom, lot at the top is small and no street parking. Hike up as far as you want then come back down. It gets busy on weekends but lots of fit bodies to see. Read parking signs they will ticket and tow.

Ultimate secret hiking trail. Nice paved trail 15 min or so walk up then about 15 min walk down. Park on the street, enter gate and enjoy the secret hiking with out all the dogs and people. Go up Laurel Canyon to get here.

Lots of animals and things to see at the zoo. Griffith park is also nice to walk and hike around.

If you going a short distance you can usually find a Bird or Lime scooter or EBike available near by. Compare rates on Uber and Lift first.

Read parking signs!
If you are driving and need to park on a street read the signs. Sometimes you have to look behind trees or walk a little to find them. Watch out for street cleaning days and evenings when restrictions begin for tickets. Just because other cars are parking dont just park at a meter or on a street.
