Whisknladle is a sister restaurant to Prepkitchen. It has a great atmosphere, delicious food, and crafty cocktails. There is a very cute small bar in the back.

We Olive is a hidden gem on Prospect Street. The front of it is a small store with gourmet food items and wonderful wines. They offer small samples of their goods such as olive oil, olives, tapenade, etc. They also have a wine bar. My favorite part of the establishment can be found in the back. They have a small cafe on their back patio that has a great ocean view. The food and wine on the menu are fantastic.

They have a small cafe on their back patio that has a great ocean view. The food and wine on the menu are fantastic.
Eddie V's is an upscale, multi leveled restaurant and bar. The views are stunning and they offer live music in the upstairs bar. We've always had good food and service there. They also serve an amazing bananas foster that I would highly recommend.

La Valencia is a beautiful hotel with stunning views. They have several areas to dine. I would recommend breakfast or lunch on their outdoor terrace. The views are lovely and the food flavorful. I would also recommend cocktails in their bar before or after dinner. They have a signature cocktail called the Pink Lady as the hotel is often referred to as the Pink Lady. Live music is offered most weekends.

The views are lovely and the food flavorful. I would also recommend cocktails in their bar before or after dinner. They have a signature cocktail called the Pink Lady as the hotel is often referred to as the Pink Lady. Live music is offered most weekends.
Duke's has great food and amazing ocean views. I would recommend dining on one of their outdoor patios weather permitting. On occasion they have live music on the upper level.

Lovely hidden gem with a European flavor. Nice decor and scrumptious menu. I would recommend their soups and the Malk wine. The wine maker of the Malk lives here in La Jolla.

The restaurant Manhattan can be found in the Princess Hotel. They have a piano bar and red leather booths. The paintings hanging above the booths are incredible and add to the ambiance as does the live aquarium. The wait staff there is quite a treat as well. The piano bar is also enjoyable later in the evening if you have already dined elsewhere.

Verdes El Ranchero is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. It has a beach/surf community vibe and authentic and traditional Mexican dishes. They make their tortillas right there in the restaurant. I would recommend their traditional margarita, chorizo tostada . . . Oh just everything on the menu! My favorite waitress there is Cynthia, see always brings me the extra hot, hot sauce, so delicious! :)

They make their tortillas right there in the restaurant. I would recommend their traditional margarita, chorizo tostada . . . Oh just everything on the menu! My favorite waitress there is Cynthia, see always brings me the extra hot, hot sauce, so delicious! :)
Spice & Rice Kitchen has a cute atmosphere and delicious Thai food. You can call ahead and get food to go as well.

Hennessey's Tavern is a great Irish Pub in La Jolla. Great bar food and standard cocktails. $5 Bloody Marys on the weekends. They frequently have live music in the evenings. When it's cold I suggest sitting close to the fire inside. During the day the back bar patio is a great spot.

H & M landing offers Whale Watching tours and animal encounters. Close by is also one of my favorite seafood restaurants, Point Loma Seafoods. I recommend their fish taquitos and the tuna sandwich, but everything there is amazingly fresh and delicious!

The world famous San Diego Zoo has a lot to offer. Spend the day exploring fascinating animals and enjoy the gorgeous botanicals. I would recommend the double decker bus tour and sky buckets ride.

I would recommend dining at the Prado and if time allows I would definitely recommend seeing a play at the Old Globe theater. The Japanese Gardens are beautiful as well.

La Jolla Shores Beach is a great destination. Enjoy relaxing on the sand or various water activities. Beach walks are marvelous here too. I would suggest renting a kayak and paddling out to see the caves.

La Jolla Cove has a beach, but I would recommend walking the beach path above it as there is so much to see. Sea Lions provide great entertainment and excitement. The Shell Shop is also worth a visit. They have unique cave tours.
