12 miles. This is one of my favorite places to go and get a great day at the spa in. Not fancy but extremely effective and pretty cheap. $25 to use the hot tub, wet and dry sauna, towel and locker. Then you can get a $15 body scrub, $45 for a massage and depending on the day aqua chi and some other services. I have been coming here for 25 years. If you want a massage call ahead. Ladies days are only on Mondays and Thursdays the guys get all the other one. no co-ed and be prepared to take all your clothes off. No bathing suits only birthday suits. 303-825-2995 The only downfall is that it is not in the best neighborhood but they do offer parking that is watched by security. Still worth to go.

If you are up for a hike this is a beautiful place to do so. Popular place for Rock Climbers and if you can handle the cold water you can dip in the river. Multiple trails with varying levels of difficulty. My favorite is the one to where you can see the Great Divide at the top. Great place for picnics too. Does get busy so get there early. Good shoes, sunscreen and water are a must to have.

Wildlife, snow ( even in the summer) check out the website before you go www.nps.gov because the rules change all the time. You can do the drive in about 1.5 to 2 hours. If you start in Estes Park you can end it in Winter Park area get back on I-70. easy way back to the house.

Elk wonder around this town like the own it even the occasional Bear. Lots of activities here. This is great place to visit if you are not a hiker. I would recommend a horse back ride through the mountains with Sombrero Ranch even if you have never been on a horse. Great shops and lots of different choices for restaurants.

60 mi. Estes Park is a bustling mountain town known for the Famous and Haunted Stanley Hotel from the movie the Shining. Entrance for the Rocky Mountain National Park, a great drive coming up. Elk wonder around this town like the own it even the occasional Bear. Lots of activities here. This is great place to visit if you are not a hiker. I would recommend a horse back ride through the mountains with Sombrero Ranch even if you have never been on a horse. Great shops and lots of different choices for restaurants.

Denver area doesn't have a lot of Highways so it is easy to get around. Our direction indicator are the mountains they are always in the west. Named streets are North to South, numbered streets East to West.
