If you enjoy dining out for the evening, Cafe Mezzanotte is one of downtown Wilmington's premier Italian Restaurants. Some of our non profit organizations dine their frequently while hosting dinner meetings with city officials or just a night out for a great dinner. The food is well prepared and cooked exactly to your liking and taste. Great selection of wines, too. If you drive, its only a 5-10 minute drive. Parking is on street at Tatnall Street or if you prefer the city parking lot building, they are within walking distance of half a block. Walking is about a 15-20 minute walk. Easy breezy. Meet the Chef and enjoy your dinner.

Our family favorite Grocer, The new Wegman's at Barley Mill Road, Greenville Delaware has a very large selection of international foods and a must go to World Class grocery store. Just take Route 141 which is about a 20 minute drive. You won't be disappointed when you shop at this grocer.

Yes! Yes! Yes! The Urban Bike Project is a community based need organization serving neighborhood youth who can't afford to buy a bicycle of their own. The children and adults come here to find a bike and also help to repair bikes that have been discarded or donated. I hosted a guest who could not bring her bike due to a large fee to ship her bicycle here. We hooked her up with a bicycle from UBP. The guest was able to commute on the bike to and from work while staying here. So if you need a bicycle its only a 10 minute walk over the Market Street Bridge just past the Historic Pumping Station at the end of Walnut Street. Check out the new features there. The newly built stage for the Arts was recently erected and in the near future, entertainment from artists will perform there.

Lots of children walk to Shortlidge, Warner Middle and Sallys school for boys in the area. Very Quiet reserved neighborhood.. A lot of the homes here are historic [built in the 1800's to 1930's]. While out walking you will notice these beautiful edifices mixed in with the homes built much later in the 1950's and up. Homeowners are meticulous about the safety and upkeep of the village.
