Red Rocks is a local amphitheater. Its acoustics are unbeatable and the setting is fantastic. Is is best during the summer months but is a nice place to take a walk even without a concert to attend.

Full of seasonal creeks and wildflowers, Golden Gate offers some of the most picturesque views from the headlands that expose the snow-capped and lead-blue rocks of the Rocky Mountains. Fortunately for you, the park is open all year round with snow covering the trails from as early as October through May.
Golden Gate Canyon State Park is one of the treasures of Colorado’s vast park network. Located right into the northwest foothills of Golden, the park is easily accessible from the plains and the Peak to Peak Highway, which provides nothing but great hiking, mountain biking, camping, snowshoeing, and wildlife viewing. Interestingly, the park’s 11 trails are named from animals native to this area and have been assigned the creature’s footprints.

This is an easy 6.6 mile hike nearby. The trails run through typical meadow highlands with views of the front range but is still an easy hike for beginners.

This nearby area is a beautiful 20 min drive from the ranch as well. This is the location of the casinos. Many of these casinos are large and new. There are plenty of shops and a nice area to walk through downtown along the river. If you are looking for gambling, this is definitely the location for you.

Golden is a close 20 minute drive from the ranch. It is the home of many breweries including Coors. There are ample restaurants and stores in Golden as it is home to about 20,000 people. There are walking trails along the river here as well.

These services will bring you to the ranch but it is hard to get them to pick you up from here as they usually don't want to drive up the mountain. Rental cars or limousine services are the best choices.
