My favorite place to sunbath, swim and have lunch

Rabac has the most beautiful pebble beaches of the Istrian Peninsula. Plenty of cafes and bars serving delightful cocktails local beers and homemade Ice-cream. Restaurants serve a variety of local gastronomy that specialize in fish dishes. You can go snorkeling, scuba diving, rent a boat, go on an excursion to see dolphins and explore other islands. Parasailing, water sports, waterskiing, volleyball to name but a few of the activities you can find here in Rabac. The hotels offer a range of spa treatments but book early to avoid disappointment. The hotels also offer a range of night time entertainment and some have gorgeous bars with live music. Tennis is a very popular sport in Croatia and so you will find a selection of tennis Centers in Rabac where you can book a court or private lesson. There is a variety of kids playgrounds and activities spread over the area such as crazy golf, mini go -karts, table tennis and small playgrounds for the smaller kids. The shops here in Rabac sell local crafts and jewelry and all your beach needs. There is a small train going the length of the promenade from the port or 'Riva' to Girendella hotel resort. You can use this to see the area hoping on and off along the way to save you walking all the way. This particular hotel has a swimming pool and a beautiful terrace with 4 poster sun loungers for hire. Great place for lunch and Cocktails too. All the numbers and addresses you need can be found in the house manual on this site.

Sightseeing

Here you will find great restaurants , local art galleries, old mine to explore and beautiful Venetian cobbled streets to walk around and take in the views and see the local architecture. Breathtaking views of Rabac from the terraces of restaurants. my favourite restaurant is Velo Kafe found int he main square with its beautiful balcony to eat on. Its the best in the region and has won awards for its food. Across the square is Pizza Napoli for more economical fare serving great pizza and pasta dishes. You can go on a night time walk around Labin just go to the tourist agency in the square for details. During the summer months there are free live concerts and theatrical performances check with tourist agency for dates. if you like horse riding there a a few places to go to around Labin. City/town information

Pula is the Largest town in the Istrian Peninsula. It recently opened the largest shopping mall in the region should you like to explore. This city is steeped in history, full of quaint shops and restaurants. The amphitheater is the largest in Europe and hosts a variety of open air concerts from May to September. You can also hop on a boat and visit the Island of Brijuni where Tito used to reside. Definitely put it on your agenda to go and explore. There is a great Aquatic Centre on the road passed the airport which is worth exploring. Follow the road out to Fazana and explore a really quaint fishing village with more boats going from here to the islands. More details found in the house manual.

Beautiful City perched right on the waterfront. A must see for romantic candle light dinners to watch the sun set. Or explore the cobbled streets full of interesting shops selling crafts and art works.

Транспорт

Car is an essential way to get around. Bikes for local area

Bikes can be hired from the local hotel. They will also give you maps of the area suitable for on and off road cycling. Public transport is slow but runs according to the timetables. Use the taxi numbers found in my manual or in the house as some taxis can take advantage of tourists.

Flip flops or diving shoes for the beach area are advisable.

When walking around the cobbled streets in Labin, Pula or Rovinj flat shoes or sandals are advisable as they get slippy when wet.
