A very nice quiet and safe town .Free parking downtown. Busy all summer near the lift lock but a restful vibe and lots to see and do. People watching and boat watching, shopping all stress free.

Boating and Fishing
If you are interested in fishing or just want to get out on the water for a nice summer cruise please check out Birch Point Marina. We have had guests rent both pleasure and fishing boats and have given us good feedback on their experience. Sturgeon Lake is an excellent fishing Lake and you have access to several other lakes on the Trent Severn system. Please book early as they have a limited supply of boats available.
Birch Point Marina is located directly across the Lake from the Lakeland Loft. They are a well established and very professional operation. The owners live locally. Birch Point rents both pleasure boats, pontoon boats and well
equipped fishing boats.
