Take are ride up to Coos Canyon in Byron to see the falls and the gorgeous carved out rocks. If the weather is hot, bring your bathing suit to wade in the stream or swim in the lower hole.

Grafton Notch State Park is a must see! Just a short walk from the car are Screw Auger Falls, Mother Walker Falls, and the Moose Cave. Or take more type to hike Step Falls, Old Speck, or Table Rock. You can spend days in this park!

If you want to ski but hate crowds and spending big $$$, check out the locally owned Black Mountain Ski Resort in Rumford, only 15 minutes from the house. In addition to traditional runs, the mountain is known for amazing glade skiing. They also have a fun tubing run!

Andover area is famous for outdoor activities!
Some of our favorite places to visit are within minutes of Andover. You can ATV and snowmobile right from the house on the ITS https://www.mesnow.com/Map.html; downhill ski at Sunday River (30 mins) and Black Mountain (20 mins); hike on the Appalachian and other amazing trails; visit the famous Rangeley Lake area; check out equestrian events at Ellis River Riders; visit beautiful waterfalls - Grafton Notch, Dunn Falls, Cataract Falls, Coos Canyon and so much more. We will leave the Maine Atlas & Gazetteer for you to use while in the area. Explore the backroads and lookout for deer and moose!
