Bass Lake is a great little community. There are shops, a lake, and warm water you can swim or enjoy a boat or jet ski rental. There are several restaurants and a local dive bar if you’d like to enjoy a cocktail! It’s about a 1 hour drive from the suite.

Shaver is a beautiful lake that has a neat little town. There’s places to do some shopping, restaurants, and water activities. You can go rent a boat or some jet skis for the day. This is one of my favorite places to go relax and enjoy the smells of the pines. It’s about a 1 hour 15 minute drive from the suite.

Shaver Lake
Shaver is a beautiful lake that has a neat little town. There’s places to do some shopping, restaurants, and water activities. You can go rent a boat or some jet skis for the day. This is one of my favorite places to go relax and enjoy the smells of the pines. It’s about a 1 hour 15 minute drive from the suite.
It’s about 1.5 hour drive from our suite. It’s a National Treasure. If you plan on going on a weekend it best to be INSIDE the park before 8am. Any later and you could wait for entry for several hours. Parking is difficult during peak season. Plan to park in a central area and leave your car. Biking around the park from your vehicle is ideal during peak season.

During Spring this is a great drive to see our beloved fruit trees coming into blossom. It’s impressive to see thousands of acres all in bloom. We have some of the best fresh fruit in the world in our backyard. Please review dates prior to going on this scenic drive.

This is a locally owned restaurant that has recently changed hands. The neighborhood isn’t my favorite but their bacon fried rice is a unique smoky goodness and the Thai Basil Chicken is change your life good! Get a side of white rice to soak up the delicious sauce.

This is the ONLY chain store I’ve included in our list just because it’s unique. This is Baskin Robin’s new prototype store for their new look. It has some awesome features not found in any other Baskin’s like custom cakes as if you went to a bakery. They do anything you want! Plus, chocolate dipped bananas or slices of cake! It’s awesome!
