Great for Birders! Very nicely maintained trails in beautiful Nature Preserve, but no dogs allowed inside the Park. You can however park your vehicle and hike out South circumventing the Park boundaries toward the hills where you’ll find public trails.

Architecturally unusual structure built as a studio & performance space for Lou Harrison, a major American composer of the twentieth century was also a talented musician, instrument builder, humanitarian and visionary.
The Harrison Home is a vaulted straw bale "composer's cave." It was completed in 2002 on the edge of Joshua Tree National Park. The design integrates material, form, acoustics and traditional Egyptian architecture.
