Evergreen is 15 minutes away but you feel like you are deep in the mountains. Nice drive & views. Locals are welcoming and amazing. Places to go to while there: Little Bear Saloon (bar & grill w/ music), Cactus Jacks (on Bear Creek). Visit Evergreen Lake (in the winter you can ice skate on the lake).
