My favorite afternoon run loop.
This park is an amazing loop for a 2.6 mile run or walk. Very flat, so good for roller skating or biking, too. A good leisure recommendation is that you find a shady spot under a tree and pack a picnic or watch the sunset. With views of the Denver skyline on the east side of the lake and views of the mountains on the west side of the lake, you can't go wrong. Enjoy!!

Food scene
Best tamales ever!! Get some while you're visiting Denver and then again when you're leaving! They are located in Terminal C at the Denver Airport. Affordable and so delicious!!

There are a lot of pho restaurants on Federal. Don't worry about trying the others... we already did that on your behalf. Pho 95 is the BEST. Super friendly and are offering take away during covid. Call ahead to order and check when they are closing for the evening, it varies.

They are offering to-go food during Covid-19, along with their in house "Spice Trade Beer Co."! I love their Butter Chicken spice level 3 or 4, paired with Himalayan IPA, but I'm not trying to tell you what to order.... hint hint wink wink.

Hiking/Trail Running
Apex is a "choose your own adventure" trail. There are plenty of forks in the trail to make the hike or run as long or short as you want. Great parking and facilities at the bottom, decent elevation gain and definitely recommend you bring water!

Amazing views and great trails! Choose the length you want to run or hike. Warning, this area can get very busy, but much easier during weekdays and avoiding 4-6pm rush.
