Tennyson St between 38th and 46th has a whole slew of mom-and-pop shops, plus Call To Arms - the brewery where we had our first date. Other notable spots on Tennyson include Hops & Pie (pizza and beer), Denver Biscuit Co (usually a long wait but killer breakfast), BookBar (a bookstore + wine bar), Biju's Little Curry Shop (South African fast casual), and Mas Kaos (pizza and tacos).

Golden is a historic mining town just 20min west of Denver.
A town butted up against the mountains, about 40 min northwest from Denver. Go for a hike in Chautauqua Park or a walk down Pearl Street Mall.

As the name implies, it's a great central location to start exploring Denver, and only ~1mile away. Grab a coffee from Crema, a beer from the bar, a pastry from the baker, or a bite to eat from one of the multiple food stalls, then start walking the alleys around Denver Central Market to see all the street art.

Just a few blocks south, City Park has ~3 miles of trails to go for a stroll or a jog. Check out the Denver Museum of Nature & Science or the Denver Zoo while you're there, or keep heading south and go explore Colfax Ave.

Check the schedule as sometimes they have free jazz shows or other events. Pro tip: there's a cocktail bar upstairs that has a killer viewing point over the whole train station.
