Michael J. Ellis Beach and Seawall is a popular Corpus Christi destination for beachside fun. The one-mile stretch of the Upper Padre Island Seawall provides an attractive view for sidewalk-style beach walks. The adjacent Michael J. Ellis Beach is ideal for an array of beach activities – surfers, sunbathers and beach volleyball games. During the summer months, many vendors set up along the beach, renting surf boards and other beach necessities. It's just a short 1/2-mile drive from the condo and offers free parking and public restrooms with outdoor beach shower/rinse facilities. You can set your GPS to Michael J. Ellis Beach and Seawall, 14926 Windward Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78418..... You can also access the Seawall on foot by walking to the end of the block (on Whitecap Blvd) toward Whitecap Beach. Once you start walking on the sand, vere to the left and climb the wooden stairs from the beach and water's edge that is in front of Island House. The Seawall begins at the top of the stairs and continues as a 1-mile pathway above the adjacent Michael J. Ellis Beach. (Caution: Seasonal high tides may obstruct this on-foot beachside approach.)

About golf cart rentals...
We've never actually rented a golf cart ourselves, however, many of our guests and friends have and loved it!
