Very small and cosy place, with an italian twist. It is run by chefs with a lot of ambition. They often update their menu so I can´t recommend a special dish. Can be very busy at weekends.

I think this place has the best Italian style pizza in Iceland. Very simple, no mambo jambo ingredients just really good quality ingredients. Great vibe too!

If you are leaving the city I recommend this place as a pit stop. It is in Hveragerði, a 45 min drive from Reykjavik. A town famous for its geothermal activity. This is a micro brewery using the geothermal heat to make the beer. It serves beer straight from the brewery. They also have great pizzas from a wood fired oven. I go there very often.

So many people plan a trip to Westman Islands just to eat there. It is an absolute must for the foodie. It is located in a formed machine workshop near the harbour. The menu is very innovative and focused on local produce, even their cocktail list is based on herbs found on the island.

If you find yourself in the Western Fjords you should not miss this place. It has a fish buffet and it is packed the whole summer.

Great little restaurant/cafe in Grandagarður. Owned by a couple, an Icelander and an Italo-American. They have a great brunch, awesome bread, taco tuesdays and their menu has never disappointed me. They just opened a cocktail bar next door but I haven´t tried it yet.
