There is free parking at the 7-story garage at 101 Washington St., Oakland, 1-1/2 blocks from the Jack London Square ferry terminal (take your parking ticket for validation). Go in the morning or afternoon, enjoy the ferry ride, explore downtown SF, then take the ferry back to Jack London Square where there are numerous good restaurantsT
