A fantastic family day out at this very unique Zoo. The concept of the zoo, is called “Zooimersion” in Spanish, it consists of immersing visitors into the animals' habitat and not vice versa. This is achieved by not using the traditional railings and cages that are common in many zoos, using instead rivers, ponds, streams and rocks to separate visitors from the animals. You can find all of the opening days and times on their website. https://www.bioparcvalencia.es/

A must see for anyone visiting. Valencia Cathedral sits at the heart of the old town of Valencia - an area called El Carmen. The Cathedral links two of El Carmen's most iconic plazas - Plaza del la Reina and Plaza del Virgen. The Cathedral itself is an impressive structure that spans a variety of architecture styles, including baroque, Romanesque and gothic. Whether you are religious or not, it is worth making a trip to the Cathedral during your trip to Valencia.

The ‘City of Arts and Sciences’ in Valencia is widely recommended as a must-see for any first-time visitor to the city and one of the most popular things to do in Valencia with kids. The long, rectangular building is the Prince Felipe Museum of Sciences, with interactive, hands-on permanent exhibits that promise to be both fun and educational for all ages. There are also spaces which host changing scientific and cultural exhibitions throughout the year, such as the very popular Exposicion del Ninots in February and March, showing the 700 intricately-painted wooden figures, or ninots, which are to be burnt at the upcoming Fallas festival.

Sport

Golf course
One of Valencia’s top golf courses. The course has been designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. Its clear to anyone who has had the joy of playing some of his other designs. The course is a challenge to most, some very long holes, and some short, a lot up and down, but a course that ideally is walked despite of the height differences. The training facilities are also quite spectacular. Two putting greens, a covered driving range and on top an open air driving range, and several greens to practice your chipping and short game in general. Fantastic clubhouse with a spectacular view, good food and service.

Beach 🏖

Local beach close to the city
Playa de la Malvarrosa is a beautiful beach very close to the city. With plenty of space for everyone, this particular Valencian beach has never seen a lot of development, especially if you compare it to other large beaches in the area such as Benidorm. La Malvarrosa remains clean, safe and popular with the locals. As a result, it doesn’t feel touristy and has a pleasant local feel to it. The beach offers the luxury of space and all the main facilities. There is a large promenade lined with palm trees and plenty of restaurants and bars, serving excellent local dishes like Paella and Fideuà. La Malvarrosa beach is split into three main areas, which are the Malvarrosa, Las Arenas and Patacona beaches, all of which are clean, family-friendly and a great place to relax. Another plus is that these city beaches are easily accessible by bus or tram, or even by bicycle or on foot. . It’s popular with locals, so rather than being a tourist magnet or party spot it has a pleasant, relaxed local feel.
