If you need a Beer or Drink in a very crowded Bar go to Turnhalle. In summer very lovely - many different bars outside with some cool food as well. Always lovely people - it's student's favorite place. In the aera / building of Turnhalle there are as well some other bars.

Rooftop-Bar has the best view over the city and alps. The Bar itself is nice, but not very atmospheric.

Very nice Restaurant with good food and lovely house-crafted beer - wonderful in summer to watch over the old city on the terrace of the restaurant. Situated at the Bärengraben.

It's not for gambling! Very posh restaurant with excellent food. In summer a very nice place to hangout on their terrace with a view over the Bernese Alps.

THE spot in Bern! A must see - even of course there might be some discussion why animals need to be shown out like in a Zoo... But, Bärengraben Bern, is very nicely set and the bears have quite a huge aera including swimmingpool in the river Aare.

A summer without a swimming in the river Aare is a No-Go. Marzili is an open Swimming place with lots of gras to hang out with hundreds of Bernese people. Walk up along the river and jump in!
ATTENTION: you need to be a very good swimmer! If it's hot and there is nobody inside the Aare - don't do it - it might be to high or to fast! It is realy dangerous.

The James Bond Mountain with a round turning restaurant with the best views to the big big peaks as Jungfrau, Eiger, Mönch and even to the east of Mont Blanc the view is possible on a good day. And as well not so touristic and expensive as Jungfrau (Top of Europe).

If you drive by car, don't drive on the highway, take the N6. The side of from Brienz-Interlaken aside the lake trough lovely small villages is stunning.

If you like top views and historical trains - this is it! Even super hikes to the top from Planalp over the ridge is very cool. Not that easy, but if you are fit - go for it! 3-4 hours! 1000meters altitidue difference from Planalp to Brienze Rothorn.

One of my favorite peaks in the Bernes Oberland. Very scenic with view to the Lake of Thun and over the whole Canton of Bern.
