El Trailero is one of the best taco stands around, less than 10 minutes away in El Sauzal.

Right down the hill from the Baja House, by the ocean and near the San Miguel surf beach is the
San Miguel Restaurant. They are only open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. serving breakfast or early lunch, but it’s a great place to start the day.

Right down the hill from the Baja House, by the ocean and near the San Miguel surf beach is the
San Miguel Restaurant. They are only open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. serving breakfast or early lunch, but it’s a great place to start the day.
It is a great place to get an instant meal, and maybe get some extras too for later. Next door is a rotisserie chicken take-out place that is good for a quick take-out meal.

One of my personal favorites and the closest to the house is Planta Baja with seating right by the ocean and an extensive menu. They have some vegan and vegetarian selections, along with seafood, beef and chicken dishes.

There are quite a few in the region, but two of the very best are right nearby in the town of El Sauzal, just minutes from the Baja House. Both have excellent beer snacking foods, too. For a younger crowd and more rustic setting, right along the coast, try Pacific Brews, also in El Sauzal.
