Have extra afternoon, and want to take in a historic copper mining town, Jerome is the place. Nice reasonable shops, arts, and crafts. South of Sedona, 45 minutes or so, with distant views of Sedona from 6000 feet elevation.

Another trail you can choose, 20 minutes from our front door. This a longer hike than Brims Mesa, where this trail heads west passing through different scenic red rock formations.

Trailhead is just 20 minute walk from our front door. This is an easy to moderate hike, about 45 minutes or longer to the mesa above. Very scenic red rock view with a wide open mesa on top leading to another group of red rocks to the north.

This a nice stop traveling up Oak Creek; has a natural red rock slide, which Oak Creek flows through; nice in the summer months.
