Ask for "Snakki" the chef, he will lead you to the best things on the Menu

Great bakery, all made in house. They also have very good soup lunch time.
If you need bread get the "thriggjakornabraud"

Holy Mountain, 73 m with a breath-taking panoramic view across Breiðafjordur Bay. A viewing dial is at the top.
Folklore advises anyone climbing the mountain for the first time to walk straight up without looking back or speaking and three wishes will be granted. The wishes have to be of good intent and the wisher tells no one and faces east when making them.A small remnant of a wall on the mountain top is dated 1184 and was a part of a nearby monastery built at this time.
I recommend driving there, it will take you around 5 minutes.
As of this year the owners of the farm have decided to charge people 400kr to access the mountain. This decision was made due to the unusual rise in people visi

The Shark museum is a great place to see some of the countries history.
And please if you get a chance try the shark, it tastes allot better than it smells

We are so lucky that one of the worlds leading volcanologists lives in the town, in fact he is your next door neighbour right now. He has gathered items of interest through his career and allot of them he has put into this museum.
