With a decent 4wheel drive vehicle, you can access Loch Lomond, a reservoir and hike at the base of James Peak, and the Continental Divide. A 2-3 hr adventure. look up ATV Experience to take a Jeep tour there if you don't have a 4-wheel drive.

Mt Evans is a 14er. Which means it is above 14,000ft. It has the highest paved road in North America. drive all the way from Idaho Springs, 34 miles. Check weather conditions before, and bring coats and sunscreen. Amazing scenery. There is a restaurant at Echo Lake half way up. County Rd 103 also goes over to Evergreen, Colorado. Visit the Little Bear!
