Historic fort to built to protect the bay. Bathrooms right outside and parking. Surfers brave the turbulent waves. Can walk down from Crissy field as many do. Check tide as water does come in high and splashy if you are walking

Just outside the presidio, I added this one as it’s so close ( just before the east entrance at end of marina green) and free and unique.

Coffee and warm beverages plus souvenirs of your visit to Golden Gate. Post COVID, the food is more prepackaged sandwiches than made to order, like in the past for health and safety reasons. Still a good spot to get out of the cold. Bathroom is building to the west.
